FYI, this is also a great inline spinner bait rod (Mepps #1-#4) and a small swimbait rod (2.8-3.8keitech) creeping bottom. I puchased the rod based on other reviews about the Dobyns Fury line and boy was I not let down. The 7 foot Cranking stick is awesome I caught my PB on it a 7.02 largemouth. Extremely well balanced. Sensitive, light, quality components & excellent visual style. Just got to adjust the hooks on your hollow body frog. Once again - a loud pop and it broke between the 6th and 7th guide and splintered. Great a rig and islide 185 rod. Comments:The 806 sb fury series rod is so awesome!! Although I am rather new to swimbaits and it says it is rated 2-8oz, Personally I wouldn't throw anything over 5 maybe 6 ounces on this rod. They're very sensitive with a little give in the tip for launching lures and just the right amount of backbone. I was expecting the rod to be a little more stiff than it was. Comments:Without a doubt the best rod on the market at this price point just got the Fury 735 for frog fishing and I am excited to get several more rods from this line. Thanks Dobyns. They said that I still needed to mail the rod in for "inspection", which cost me around $20. Not much, but a bit. It started out less than desirable when I picked up a 733. I'm stuck between getting a 733C or another 735C for throwing big worms. I'll be returning it and getting something else. So I used it on my general purpose rod, because it feels more like a MH rod. Awesome. I through everything from 3/82oz jigs to 1/2oz spinnerbaits to even throwing a LC pointer! I wish more companies did this for their entry level gear it would have really sped up the learning curve for me early on. But all and all, great rod. So do your self a favor & try these! Comments:I have a 704 and a 735 and absolutely love them , great rods for the price ! Ratings say 1-5oz. I don't abuse my equipment, but I don't baby it either. Dobyns Rods Fury FR 733c Heavy Power Fast Action Casting Rod 7ft3in Black/green. be warned, this is not the great rod I thought I was getting. This rod would be one of the best if it were sensitive. I cant say anything bad about it.As sensitive as they come.Tons of back bone, yet the perfect action to yank big bass out of the slop and not rip the hook out of their face. Not a huge fan of split and EVA, but for the price I cannot complain. Both the 733/734 are excellent choices if you don't know what Fury model to get....the 733 can do anything but big baits and flipping. But it still has a good backbone, just not a meat stick. Comments:Can not beat this rod, try this one and you will know what I'm saying. This rod has been used for very light duty, never kept in a rod locker, or otherwise abused.I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt on the first one but this one broke in exactly the same spot under very light usage.Instead of paying the replacement - into the trash it goes and I'll just cut my losses and move on to a more durable option because clearly my luck with the 703 isn't great. Be smart and save the money, Comments:So I recently got the 795 and was successfully casting a 3oz Glide bait, but. It's not that these rods aren't sensitive...they have some of the best sensitivity out there for the $100 range rods. The 733 says its a medium-heavy but really bends more like a medium. Comments:I don't know where all of these reviews are coming from saying they broke their rod on the first outing, ive had mine for about 4 months and I have beat the hell out of it. They are sensitive, lightweight, and balanced. I saw a bubble in the middle and just thought maybe it was fine. Can't wait to put her to use soon! Comments:Bought the Dobyns Fury 735C on April 5th of this year. Sensitivity is great, not dead like most $100 rods. Not sure yet. In fact, I sold all of my new GLoomis EX6 rods and replaced them with Fury rods. So it would have added up to $90 to replace a $120 rod. This rod is insane for the price! ... Dobyns Rod Casting Fury 8ft Heavy FR 806sb. Comments:Bought the 7'6" MH fast for Jigs, Texas Rigs, Carolina Rigs, and all purpose baits. Will be buying 2 more next month. Comments:Got the Fury 795 for smaller swimbaits & glide baits. I like the fit and sensitivity of the rod. Man, it didn't appear to like it. Dobyns doesn't have much interest in this but eventually offered to 'fix' (a new rod) if I handle round trip shipping which comes to > $50. In 2014 Tackle Supply Depot completed the purchase of the well-known Northern Bass Supply store which … Comments:I bought the 7' MH & was pretty excited to try out the rod because of all the good reviews. This thing is a beast and can be dangerous for small fish! I recommend buying the casting rods for reaction baits only. Overall, an excellent rod for the price. I realized quickly that the Dobyns rods do seem about 1 power weaker than listed compared to my other rods. From: S: Massachusetts 12/11/20. Comments:Own the 703 and 705. Have used them for about a month and they are a phenomenal value. Comments:Going to say the same as everyone else: great rod, light, strong, sensitive and a great value. Delivering the technique-specific performance that anglers have come to expect from Dobyns Rods, the Fury Casting Series has what it takes to tackle a range of applications - everything from topwater to flipping. i really like this rod it is very sensitive it has some tip but is has a very good backbone. They are all built extremely well, have a good bait keeper, and are light and sensitive for the price. The price is right and the quality is great. Even if they are not supposed to be that way, it's still a great rod! Always took good care of it. Comments: I recently purchased the Fury 705CB to primarily use for throwing squarebills and lipless cranks which it works great for but was pleasantly surprised on how well it performed as a jerkbait rod too. It is light, powerful, and sensitive and for the price of 120 dollars, you can't beat it! Great rod at the price point. They are light and super sensitive! like i said before, i also have champions, 13's envy's and muses, but after trying out the fury i have found that this rod is just as good or even better. I've fished with it maybe 6 times since then. Comments:I purchased the 765flip & have some issues with it. This rod also makes a good senko setup. Comments:I purchased the 765FLIP and LOVE it! Comments:I had a TW Gift Card and decided to try the new Fury Rods. Dobyns … Comments:I have several Dobyns rods from Fury to Champ Extreme. Extremely comfortable handle. Comments:For the money these rods are awesome! Its a great rod over all but its just ever rated in its weight. The rod performed great when it had the eyelets in. But for a $120 rod to break on the cast is a little ridiculous. Great rods love the slight more moderate bend they seem to have it really seems help keep fish hook. It's part of life. these rods are light and sensitive hold up to hooksets with braid to leader and have good all around actions. From:David: New Hampton 5/9/20. Is the Fury that much better than the DaiwaDX? 733C, 734C, 705CB, 795SB, and 702S are the models I currently own. Very impressed with this rod at the 109 dollar price point. I would highly recommend both. Comments:For the money you would be hard pressed to find a better rod. I have 2 of em and I'm about to buy another! I recommend these rods. Comments:Rod broke about a foot from the tip after around the 10th cast. I … FR 795SB / 7'9" / $129.99 DESCRIPTION: 7'9" 1pc. Low ballers will be ignored. Comments:I went with the Fury 806SB over the Daiwa DXSB XHeavy. The mag heavy is strictly my jig rod and has plenty of sensitivity for dragging around deep brush and rock piles. One was an 806sb that had previously pulled up pallets, brushpiles, and god knows what else out of 20 ft. The first thing you notice is how well balanced the rod is. Probably the best $109 rod I've ever fished with. I consider myself a 100 dollar rod/ reel "whore" and these are well beyond their price point. The 705CB is my new favorite rod and the quality/action of this rod compares to my Champion 705CB. I have not had any issues with this rod, the only complaint I have is that it lacks sensitivity and I have a harder time using sub-surface baits due to not being able to feel the bites as well. Comments:I finally got my Furys.
